Moon defense

I'd be curious to here thoughts on how much defense to put on a moon...thanks

good question dnar....i just got a moon and had not put much thought into defending it.

personally i think its a waste of time.

uses up too many unnecessary fields that can be used on JG or Phalanx.

only time anything is every on my moon is when my entire fleet is there, its not like you have to protect anything.

yeah i know how you feel.i trasfeered some stuff from outpost 1 to the moon in orbit of my home world(my mistake is still going,plus she is under seige)and i had to do it in 2 runs cause i could't bring the resources in 1 run.and low and behold a sneaky player manages to get a lucky break when he attacks my moon without even scaning it -.-'
i guess i'll leave it be untill i return next for thanks giving(school)

It costs way to much to build lunar bases and you need every field you can get. Even with your slowest ships you can be from the moon to the planet in less then 2 minutes for very little deut to dodge an attack. I would not build defenses at all.
