ok whos got more than 90 solar sats floating above your planet. come on lets see some hands.. yeah i thought so .. r u tired of saying NOOB to every one . lose the sats , first thing a enemy fleet hits, so they can bring in recyclers...now u got no power!!!. oh n what do the guns n turrents use to make em work carrot juice . no i dont think so ! ion cannons kill light fighters . n light cargo ships . but u need power, figure a plus of 500 energy when u r not under attack .. can some one put a link to wikki on defense weapons plz.. plasma turrents , ion cannons, lazers . they kill fleets . missle defense is nothin ..lets not b NOOBS . oh look at n read dark matter officers . 1 shifts power from mines to weapons when u r under attack.does that tell u anything?

The engineer doesn't make the defence fight any better, instead it makes them more likely to be rebuilt after a fight, up from the default 70% chance.

If you built a defence of nothing but Heavy Lasers and above, your defence will get raped, ironically by light and heavy fighters. People build Light lasers and Rocket Launchers for 'fodder', that is their sole purpose is to be shields for the bigger guns (Plasma and Gauss)

Gauss cannons and plasma turrets sound really deadly, and they're expensive so they must be the best!

I don't think you (or anyone for that matter) will be cracking this turtle open any time soon. I did a quick scan aaaaand...

His other planets 1:426:8 & 9 are undefended and have about 200-300k metal/100k crystal. depending on someone's rank thats a good chunk o' resources.

That is the average-joe ratio for defence. The RL and LL are fodder, and the HL are his fodder-killers. The Ion cannons help keep the other defences alive (Kinda like advanced fodder) and his plasma nad gauss are the ones actually doing damage. He's missing a large shield dome tho, kinda odd..
