What a strange coincidence

I thought it was a pretty neat riddle.

Alright, there are clearly not enough riddles being posted here to satisfy my hunger so here is one I just recently heard that I thought was great.

If you throw me from the window,
I will leave a grieving wife.
Bring me back, but in the door,
and you'll see someone giving life.

What am I?

That's a good one...can we ask questions to try and get clues?

If so, my first question would be is it actually a physical thing?

I will allow this one question, lol, and no it is not a physical thing.

Alright, I feel that this riddle has remained unanswered for too long. The answer is the letter "n", when "thrown" from the word window it produces the word "widow" which is a grieving wife. When the letter "n" is put into the middle of the word "door" it makes the word "donor" which is who helps give life.

Very clever! I would have never got that.

So no one has put a riddle up in a while so ill do one of my favorite ones, here it is

No man has seen it, but all men know it. Lighter than air, sharper than any sword. Comes from nothing, but will fell the strongest armies. Of what do I speak?

some may find it easy but i think it is quite clever

Hunger. I can't say I've seen it worded like this before, but the felling the strongest armies was something I had heard before.

Edit: Err, think I had heard it before. If not, have read a few books where hunger plays in to moving large numbers of people at once. =D
