In the news... Empty In the news...

Since this is a catch all area, thought I'd throw out two items locally and semi-locally "In the news" recently"...Here in my home town of Poulsbo, WA, they had all their fireworks, and those of a nearby town, stored locally. Unfortunately, a stray bullet from somewhere, probably a shooting range, hit the storage area and lit off all of the fireworks. They blamed the way they were stored. Fortunately, we have an Indian reservation nearby with a lot of fireworks...casino does a display every Sat. night, so the show went on dispite the setback.

In San Diego, they had a fireworks mishap of a different nature. As you may know, large fireworks shows are all computerized these days and the computer controls what goes off when. In San Diego, something went wrong and all the fireworks for their 20 minute show went off at once, so the show was likely impressive but very quick.

That's all the "In the news" I have for now...

Fireworks can be kind of scary...speaking of which, geese are surprisingly quite frightening
